Easy to access right near the center of town. Had mixed feelings about visiting this Confederate General, however, was interested to see that several members of his family, who were also interred in the same spot, were decorated US soldiers in WW2.
Was a nice, serene cemetery. I expected at least a few others around, but we were the only ones in the cemetery so we were able to explore at our own pace. Went as the sun was setting and got some excellent pictures, as well as read about some of the other laid to rest here
One of my favorite stops on our road trip. I love old cemeteries and I love Civil war history.
Very pleased with a cemetery and grounds, looks to be very well maintained. Very pleased to see that the Confederate Graves had Confederate flags on them, I was truly impressed.
I'm appalled. I visited on 7/14, 10/14 amd 4/16. First visit there were Confederate Battle Flags and a Firat National Flag, second visit a First National Flag. Visit on Saturday nothing but lemons saying "Black Lives Matter." Put up the Flags and remove the lemons Lexington. I will never buy anything until you do. We went to Fairfield for lunch where there is a huge Battle Flag on I-81. Your loss, Fairfield's gain!
