After riding 4100 miles across the country my hands weren't working so well. Was desperate and went here for help with a broken derailleur cable but was denied service without explanation.
Owner is amazing helpful with information on local bike routes. This is also a shop for true bicyclists or the weekender.
He's good. His prices are good to fair for a bike shop (and better than I've seen in bigger centres), and he knows how to fix things. Always caring and responsive. He's always kept to his quotes too--even when my bike repair was more difficult than expected.
The guy who owns and operates this store was a jerk to a couple of my friends, and not very helpful when I went in with a non-trek problem. He sells and builds bikes, but i get the impression that if there is no money involved he is not interested in you. If anyone has had another experience please add a review. I live in lexington but go to staunton for my biking needs. The good thing about lex bike store is the convenient location in town.

When our bike rack dropped our bikes onto the highway and flattened three tires and broke a pedal, Andy was very helpful in checking out our wheels to make sure that all we needed were tires and tubes, and a set of pedals. He was pretty backed up with work, so we opted for a self-install. Contrary to an earlier review, Andy could not have been any more helpful or friendly. Thanks, Andy.
