Jacksons house has been rebuilt and refurnished to represent how it looked during the time it was owned by Stonewall. This renovation looks good and there is a lot of nice detail about the house and time period. The tour was nice and there is a small gift shop. I would say it's easy to spend about 60 to 90 minutes here to get the full experience.
It's a very nice museum and I learned quite a bit about Stonewall. (I'm more of a Lee girl) It's $8. to get in...and kind of close quarters. The tour is about 30 minutes with a short film in the beginning. They have a gift shop where you can buy all of your favorite Stonewall Jackson merchandise. I purchased organic green beans there & I tell everyone that they're magic Stonewall Jackson beans. You should see the looks I get.
Chuck was very knowledgeable and his stories were very interesting and informative. We really enjoyed our tour.
